Three local products were among the 26 players the Cowboys cut Saturday: cornerback Josh Thomas from Cedar Hill, linebacker Brandon Williams from Fort Worth South Hills and safety Collin Zych from Plano East.
Thomas was drafted in the fifth round out of Buffalo in April’s NFL draft. Williams was a fourth-round pick in 2009 out of Texas Tech. Zych signed with the Cowboys before training camp as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Harvard.
